"From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell,
No scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand,
Till He returns or calls me home.
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand."

My hp alarm woke me up at 6.45am. Yes, had a good sleep ...well rested I would say cos I sleep thru the 6 hours!! 7.30am went to have my veg pows and a bowl of soya milk. I was excited.. going to see the Great Wall of China today!!
It is my dream to do a "solo" (my husband says "lone-Ranger") trip to see some part of China. It is a dream come true for me... I have always wanted to see another of "the 7 wonders". And today, I went to the Great Wall of China, Beijing. It was a "Mother's day" gift from husband and the children. So, before the end of "mother's day" -I was sent to the Changi Airport to catch my plane to China. Yea I know, I am blessed indeed! God is always so good to me -many times I ask my Heavenly Father, "what good in me that you see to give me such good favours?" (will give you His answers to me later ...in next blog)
By 9.30am I am already at the foot of the Great Wall (on Badaeling side). Hahaha... here is the catch... I took the Cable car ;> ....but still have to climb the last stretch of the steepest slope to the "high point" ...with many many many more steps - I got myself a certificate lei :) (ps: those with knee problem has to pray hard ...I was breathless from the step slopes and steps ...at one point my legs were like giving ways ...not carrying me anymore, I kept praying for His spirit to "fly" me thru!! ...and He did!!!!)
Will try and put some photos here when I am back in Singapore. I am in someone's office now... to fix timing my airplane tix to Shanghai tomorrow morning. I am still waiting for a reply from the airline office ...meantime, I am here :) What a blessing ...got computer to use :)
Good thing I have been taking joint muscle tablets and Intra before I come - hahaha ..ask me later if you want to know what I have been taking. As I was climbing... I kept thanking God, I said "Lord, this is amazing.. my knees are not hurting anymore as I climb and climb... steep and big steps -uneven ones too! "God Lord, You heard my cry" ...God is so wonderfully good to me isn't? I have problem back home climbing the steps up and down my 3-storey flat ...but not a pain here when doing these last lap of the CLIMB!! God just know how much I wanted to reach up to the peak -- "I love you Lord, you never failed me! ...all my life!!"
There were so many older folks climbing too... and I spoke to a 74yrs old lady... and I video her! Will try to put that clip here next time.
By 1.30pm I am back down ...by way of the Cable car again, good thing it was a two way ticket!! Came down and saw the Camels again ...cannot resist not to ride on one of the Camels ...so had a picture taken with me on it ;> That was the finale of my trip to the Great Wall of China!!!! ...praising and thanking God, for such a treat!! ps: given another chance, I will want to do it again ...this time with Elijah and my kids!! ...and all my siblings and their family ...with all of you out there who wants to CLIMB the Great Wall of China!! Got to go... See you back in Singapore!!
What a start of my holiday.. didn't get to kun (sleep) on board MU544 to Shanghai (12.55am to 5.50am). I was trying to save a day or two...
Plane on time, praise God!!In the plane, the seat next to mine was empty so was my neighbour's, we have two seats each but paid for one ;> I saw the lady next to me curled herself onto the two seats ...I tried doing that but not for long ;) soon finds me turning and tossing ...like a fish in the frying pan! I must have kept her up the whole nite. Reached! ..and I have not really gone to sleep.
Dont think I'll do well today.. was swept off to the Hong Qiao Airport (about an hour away) by Hope's brother ...he came to meet me and took the two lugguages home fro me, cos I am going 'backpacking' in Beijing ;>
Flew into Beijing via Shanghai... Thank God the planes (actually an air-bus, shaky - hehe) were rather on time, 10am to 12.15pm, ...I was pickup, took a cab from the Beijing Airport to the Forbidden City - the Palace is sooo big ...i should say HUGH :) and then cross over to the Tian'na Men Square ...another hugh piece of ground, many people were walking around. I was there in time to catch the Military on guard duty changing shift. Walked from 1.30pm to 5.30pm ...finally found KFC - Pepsi Cola came to my rescue ...cool. I was so roasted!! (I smiled to myself as I was introduced to the famous Peking Roast duck when taking dinner) ps: hey Pierre, my brother in law, you will love the ducks here ...yummy!
By 8.30pm, I am in a "hotel-like" room ...very comfortable bed. Indeed it was... cos I was knocked out by midnite, and my alarm woke me up at 6.30am. Opened my eyes, forgot where I was.. took me some seconds to remember where I am :) I thot it was the best bed and pillow ...cos I slept so well without interrupted sleep. I think I know why.. the past month in Singapore was hectic and some long hrs (ministry), so kunning time wasn't that shiok. One have to come to China to have a good un-interrupted sleep. ALSO Maybe, bcos... I am on my ancester's home-land ;) ...someone up there is watching over me :)
I know my Lord God is - Hallelujah!!! "Lonely but not alone"
