Tnx Folks!!
I really appreciate you guys for taking the time to meet
...it was truly a wonderful evening ...and the food too!!
Tnx to Jacqueline and Da-Sau Lily's recommendation!
When will we meet again ah?
Its kind of emotional for me tonite -30/10/07
(feeling sentimental la..)
..."click" "click" "click" ...have to take more photos,
don't know when we ALL can meet like that again lor.
Bro Aun Heng said tonite, it was 37yrs ago that he last saw my bro
Mike and his wife -- now you know how old and "big" they are!!
I mean the MEN.
So wonderful to be able to eat with the SNGs tonite
...waited so loooong for this to happen
...to just have the SNGs with me and family ...over a meal.
Tonite is so special, especially for me...
I guess it came a looooong way.
Aun Nee ah, remember the four of us -you & your mum;
me & grandma, sleeping on a bed "made for two"
-- where did your dad sleep ah..??
I only remember me and your dad sitting on those wooden boxes,
sorting out those mandarin oranges (boxes after boxes)
I was about 7 or 8 yrs old ...I can remember very clearly this part,
bcos I got to taste them ....hahaha!!
...many many sweet memories indeed
...that was like 44yrs ago!!!
TA is very close to my heart ...and stomach ;>
bcos, as far as I know... TA has the best "chee cheong fun" in the world!!!!!
and Folks... you know, Telok Anson (TA), now Teluk Intan,
is where I learned how to ride a bicycle :D
My other coz Brother, Aun Long,
I think he is THE guy with a world of patience
...running behind my "big people's bicycle"
...round and round the block of shop-houses ...every morning,
for almost a week!! ...until I can ride it - hahaha!!
"kam-sia" my dear brother Long ;b
...also tnx to Sister Aun Nee for the use of your bicycle.
I think I "wrecked" your bike cos I fell down (once or twice only la.. )
they say you have to fall from the bike
when you are learning to ride it b4 one can know how to ride it :D
Sorry, you have to walk to school
...or is it you borrowed the neighbour's bike (",)
Truely, the old good days!!
Looking back, I thank God for the good childhood I had
...tnx to my beloved Granny ...who is like a mum to me.
I grew up with Granny.
Who says growing up without a mother's guidance and
love have to be a wayward one.. ? Haha!!
It's all your own choice (God gave us the wisdom to decide ;b )
...I choose to be "free & easy" and keep clear of bad stuff :p
...you know, I think I have ALL THE LOVE in the world when growing up...
I have never lacked ...I even have a $99 doll when
I was only about seven in the 60's - that's a lot of money!!
I survived even with the absence of a mother's love too!!!!!!!
I thank God for a good and responsible Papa who loves us kids.
Papa died in 1996 ...I was delighted when Papa agreed to come and stay with me
...instead of in a old folks home - he could not walk by then.
I have wished for Papa to stay with me for at least five years
...so I can enjoy having him at home with me
(and my kids love having Grandpa around too)
-- having Papa at home was like "old times"
...when I was a kid :)
Papa was the only one who brought in the "butter and bread" - not kaya ;>
...and cooked our dinners!!
I always looked forward to Sundays
bcos we will all sit together around the "round marble table"
with the many dishes ...and soft drinks with ice, orange or cheery ah?
I better go sleep now ...cos tomolo I am meeting my cousins!!
ps: ask me more questions about meself if any :b
dear Folks... "Love Is The Only Answer To Life" !!!!
Cheerio....
"I survived ...you too can la!!!!!"
